New Year, New Decade………..

As we enter not just a new year but a new decade I bet you have been asked a hundred times “What are your New Year’s Resolutions?”  This year we are doing it differently, leaving the resolutions behind and setting our intentions for the year ahead. Intentions are said to be the course of action you intend to follow, an aim that guides action, an objective.

Let’s think about it for a moment, our life is a road that we must travel and the intentions we set are the road map we follow.  Afterall we wouldn’t set out on a journey without an idea of where we are going. In the very same way we cannot go through life and achieve the things we are meant to without intention and setting the path for our lives.

Everything that happens in the universe starts with an intention.  You decide to buy a birthday present, to go to the gym or eat another cake, it all begins with intention.  Think of your intentions, like a seed, just like any other seed they will not grow if you keep hold of them.  You need to release them into fertile soil of your consciousness to allow them to truly flourish.
