The Moment We Fell In Love……

Do you remember it, the moment you fell in love  Whether it was love at first sight or a gradual thing we can all remember the moment we knew we were falling in love with our partner.

However it happened it was sure to have been a beautiful moment, as well as an emotional rollercoaster before you hit that realisation that it just feels so right.  Let’s think about that journey to get to the destination we call love……..

You think about them all the time (and wonder if they are thinking about you too!).  Maybe losing concentration and focus on the things you should be thinking about. Instead of working on that deadline at work, you find yourself just sitting and pondering with glazed eyes and a secret smile.

When you hit that stage of being smitten everything they do is so cute, even their annoying habits are not annoying.  And you want to tell all your friends and anyone else who will listed all about the funny thing they did or said. You  just want to talk about them all the time.

All of a sudden along come the feelings of awkwardness and insecurity – do they like me as much as I like them, the obsession over every little detail, did I wait too long to text back.  That feeling of walking on eggshells because you don’t want to spoil this feeling that’s growing.

When you are truly comfortable with someone, sharing intimate moments together.  The protective walls start dropping away, and you are sharing things you’ve maybe never shared with anyone before.  Everything in the world is just so perfect at this moment, the sky seems more blue, the bird song is louder and you feel like you’re walking on air.  

Then you maybe hit  that stage of panic, you know it’s getting serious, this is real and you feel a sense of panic, a little scared or vulnerable when those emotions really hit.  This may be when those little gremlins of jealousy or possessiveness pop in to your head, you may not be totally sure right now what you want but you know that you don’t want anyone to come along and spoil it or take them away, or maybe it is the fear of being rejected.

And then comes the moment where you think this is it!  And you take that leap, or maybe you run as fast as you can in the other direction because you are just so scared or overwhelmed by these emotions.  

When you do give in to those feelings and make that jump into the world of love you will be accepting one of the most beautiful and fulfilling things you will experience in your lifetime.

Real love is the most powerful force on the planet.

And just like that we knew, no warning signs or time to think.

You were the missing piece of me, this was the moment our love story began.
